RE: BXA QCTP - EdK - 02-23-2012 Tom, Another options would be to face off some material from the bottom of the collar that the handle screws into. I think that would be safer than messing with the internal parts. That should swing the handle more towards the 3 & 4 o'clock position like Willies 2nd to last picture. But then I might just be full of crap. Ed RE: BXA QCTP - Mayhem - 02-23-2012 Tom, I would urge you to post pictures of your QCTP before machining it. RE: BXA QCTP - TOM REED - 02-23-2012 [quote='EdAK' pid='519' dateline='1330045905'] My QCTP ends up like Willies bottom left photo. I have the exact same Phase II BXA tool post that he has. Ed [/quote that is exactly what mine is but when you take it apaqrt the high side of the cam is nearly right under the handle, I think someone goofed when drilling for the handler as it seems the handle sshould be on the low side of the cam. tom RE: BXA QCTP - Highpower - 02-23-2012 (02-23-2012, 08:11 PM)TOM REED Wrote: When snugged up mine is more like the last photo, sort of between it + the 2nd last. It does not dissengfage very far so I think the fix will be to face a bit off the internal plungers 10 or 20 thou should bring it around more to suit Tom, "Internal plungers"? Is this a piston type tool post? #250-200 Or is it a wedge type? #250-222 RE: BXA QCTP - TOM REED - 02-23-2012 (02-23-2012, 10:39 PM)Highpower Wrote:It is a piston type same like my AXA on the old logan. I look better at Willie's and see it is a wedge type, if unable to fix mine I will probably get one of them. tom(02-23-2012, 08:11 PM)TOM REED Wrote: When snugged up mine is more like the last photo, sort of between it + the 2nd last. Price would be chep for the toolpost only, I would probably keep all the toolholders. Are you able to make toolholders yourself? tom RE: BXA QCTP - stevec - 02-25-2012 (02-24-2012, 10:54 PM)TOM REED Wrote:Sure Tom, I was planning on it.(02-24-2012, 08:19 PM)stevec Wrote: Tom, if you upgrade your BXA to a wedge I'd be curious about the Canada post cost here to NS and price you'd ask for the piston BXA.
