RE: My newest tool - DaveH - 04-05-2013 Couple more tips. Use Bi-metal blades. Some people think that adding extra tension to the blade it will help it cut straight - it won't. The main reason the blade doesn't cut straight is that it is worn more on one side the blade than the other. Usually it is the 'set' that has worn more on one side than the other. Tends to be a progressive action. So make sure the blade is set up correctly and it cuts straight, this can only really be done on a good new blade.
