More Fun With Stopping Power
#1
As promised, I took my quarter scale Napoleon cannon with me on vacation along with another hard drive destined for destruction. With all of the family commitments, it took a while to get around to it, but this morning I dragged it out on the beach and cancelled the hard drive's ticket. I think the movie clip and pics show that the results were favorable. I need to find someone with a chronograph and find out what the velocity of the ball is. By the looks of that hole it was moving along at a pretty good clip.

Lol.

It rolls back about four feet with a ball, slightly less without. Not quite scale recoil, but a lot more fun.

That's a nice looking spud gun John. I have a pneumatic version that works quite well, but even though it has an explosion shield it still makes me nervous to use it. Stainless sounds like an excellent option.
