More Fun With Stopping Power - TomG - 07-09-2012 As promised, I took my quarter scale Napoleon cannon with me on vacation along with another hard drive destined for destruction. With all of the family commitments, it took a while to get around to it, but this morning I dragged it out on the beach and cancelled the hard drive's ticket. I think the movie clip and pics show that the results were favorable. I need to find someone with a chronograph and find out what the velocity of the ball is. By the looks of that hole it was moving along at a pretty good clip. RE: More Fun With Stopping Power - Highpower - 07-09-2012 Now that is what I call a bad sector! How far did the cannon go? It rolls back about four feet with a ball, slightly less without. Not quite scale recoil, but a lot more fun. Tom RE: More Fun With Stopping Power - ETC57 - 07-09-2012 That was great Tom, I'm still chuckling! Jerry. I have a pneumatic version that works quite well, but even though it has an explosion shield it still makes me nervous to use it. Stainless sounds like an excellent option.
