In the first video you say it's easy and cheap to get the proper casting sand; as a fellow right-pondian can you suggest what to look for in the yellow pages?
How many melts do you get / Kg of propane, will I need a bigger (than 20Kg) bottle? Will a surplus-to-requirements (ex-caravan 20Kg) propane bottle make a half-decent furnace, as I don't have a spare beerkeg, would you think? Any need for forced air for the burner?

The moulding sand i use is called Mansfield red
It is red and comes from Mansfield
Just google for local foundrys
If you call in and explain what you want and will pay cash you should be ok
The place i but mine get it in 1 tonne bags i just take a shovell and my own bags no matter how much i get it is always 20 quid cash,
A propane cylinder will make a good furnace (plenty on the net about doing it).
You dont have to use forced draught but it is more economical on gas if you do.
