Thanks Tom
As with most things in engineering my idea is not original ,,When i first posted my idea on Madmodder , it was pointed out to me that Bill Reichart had a very similar device
http://littlemachineshop.com/products/pr...uctID=2304 .
plenty different enough to be eligible for a patent, you would be surprised at how well an item like that would sell, you already have a first customer if you will make me one. tom

Hi Tom
I think the cost of shipping would prohibit sending one :( ,,,, and its just a hobby for me ,, if you were in the UK i would happily help you out .
Thanks Rob
Hi Lads
Made a few more parts .
Thumb screws to lock the clamp bars in position .
And the reason for the slots ,,so i could position the clamp bolts were ever needed ,, in the original CAD model i had just a few tapped holes along each leg , knowing my luck first job they would be in the wrong place
Sliding nuts
Nuts to lock them in position for repetitive jobs
Screws in photos are not the ones i will be using , there just there as an example

Rob,
Really beautiful work.
What type of steel did you use for the screws and are those copper tips or brass?
Keep the pictures coming. It helps to motivate me.
