Back in the 'good old days' most file cards (metal or wood framed) came with a pick included and a place to store it so they stayed together. But as usual the bean counters prevailed.

I have been wanting a small machinist vise, and this one showed up:

Fairly clean, not drilled full of holes but a bit neglected.  Some quick work with a scraper and some scotchbrite cleaned it right up.  You can even see the original Blanchard grind on the sides and bottom.

A real bargain at just over 25 bucks shipped.  Must be this is the time to clean out old tools for a little extra cash, as I have been finding deals all over the place.
Full of ideas, but slow to produce parts

Definitely Blanchard ground. We get copper plates ground at work, and it looks exactly like this.

Those thin plates on the jaws are hardened and ground as well.
