Smoke Genie

The smoke genie got out of the Acurite readout on my mill a while back. I was hoping it was the transformer in the main power supply, but it turned out to be a board mouted transformer further in and it did some major damage. I found one place that said they could fix it but they wanted $1500 to do so. Luckily there happened to be the exact same 35 year old readout on ebay so I took a chance for $180. It showed up yesterday and it initially lit up, but then threw an error code that wouldn't clear. After swapping boards around between the two units, I ended up putting my old motherboard in the ebay box with It's good power supply board and it works like a champ. It's nice to win one once in a while.
