My new to me horizontal mill came without an arbor support, so I plan on building one. When I checked the dovetail of the overarm I was surprised to learn it has a 55 degree angle. I no longer have a shaper so I'm in search of a cutter.
Does anyone have plans for a carbide insert cutter I could modify to make the cutting edge the needed angle?
Or does anyone have a tool & cutter grinder on which one could modify a 60 degree dovetail cutter?
I'm thinking about tilting the vertical head on the mill 5 degrees in order to achieve the needed angle as "plan B".
