I agree with everything you said except for "I am very suspect of votech schools because the teachers don't have the vast experience in all welding techniques in real word environment but its better than nothing, dont get me wrong any knowledge is power."

Before I was even considered for a votech teaching position in Oklahoma I was REQUIRED to have a minimum of 10 years of trade experience. This was consistent across the board for all OK Trade & Industrial teaching positions. The same is true for the instructors at community colleges in Kentucky where I now reside. While this not true across all states it certainly is for the vast majority of those who have vocational-technical education in high schools and technical colleges.

BTW, my doc is in Occupational & Adult Education commonly called workforce development, so this topic is included in my knowledge base.

Some of the info that the members is good but the first post was by a spammer. I have seen the exact post on a few other forums. Just my .02. And I used to make close to 100 grand a year TIG welding but those days are gone...Bob

The most commonly accepted definition of SPAM is the distribution (by email or through post, comments etc) of unsolicited content, which is predominantly of a commercial nature.

Is the fact that the OP included the URL for a commercial welding training provider what leads you to suspect he is a spammer Bob?  I'm just trying to better understand your reasoning, as it appears from your comments that the issue is that he posted the same post on multiple sites.

I've asked the exact same question on more than one forum on multiple occasions.  Does that make me a spammer?  I thought it was a smart way to increase the number of answers that I receive.  There are several members on here, who contribute a lot to this forum, who have identical posts on other web sites.  Should we ban them, as spammers as well?

That's the first flag and that he only has 2 or 3 posts. I see it everyday on the Miller forum. Someone starts a post with a link then is gone for a while and then someone else adds to it with only 1 post. Nope multiple forums are good. its just the guys that post and you never see them again. Just my thought..Bob
