Quote:Keep it about machining period. Sounds pretty cut and dried to me. Since you are a moderator over there Stan, what is the owner's/admin's stance on posting about <shudder> import machines?

I made that recommendation based on the rules in this forum and the administrator liked it and then made me a moderator. Keep in mind I'm a moderator and not the owner or administrator of the forum. To date there is no ban on imported or hobby machines unlike a certain unfriendly forum that will go unnamed, but should be very apparent. The primary goal is to simply further the knowledge base of the trade.

Ha. Unfriendly.
I used to participate a lot on the unnamed forum, but found that there were tons of politics thread, but heaven forfend, you should have a genuine machining question involving a Chinese machine, even as a legitimate business owner, your thread got locked. Eff that poo. (04-28-2016, 08:00 PM)Roadracer_Al Wrote: Ha. Unfriendly. Or if you did not agree with the political nonsense you'd be banned. BTW, membership is growing, slowly, but still growing.

Just tried to access the forum (http://forum.machinisttalk.com) but found it is suspended. Oh well, guess it was worth a shot.
