Since I am so inspired by Tom G's rifle build. Great work buddy . I have wanted to build this gun since the mid 90's but I didn't have all 5 issues of The Home Shop Machinist where the blueprints originally were. Plus I had no machines to make anything. But I did work in a T&D shop and got some small parts done as well as the tooling he used to make the rifle. Move ahead 20 years I still have the tooling and parts and a few machines and finally got all of the plans. It may take another 20 years for this build as I have been down health wise for the last year and then some. I couldn't even make it down the steps to my machines and not stand in front of them. But a miracle happened and I can move around again and have been making some chips. So I wacked out a block of mild steel for a start to see if I can still do basic work and move on to 4140. Guess its a start. So the shaper will be running this weekend. I plan on farming out some of the small parts cut from flat stock to my buddy with a water jet to save some frustration and time. So I will see how it goes...Bob
