Got to love McPherson struts for their simplicity but not for their adjustability.

When I was into autocrossing I would use what Toyota called "crash bolts" on the suspension of my MR2.

Interesting. In all my years with Toyota I've never once heard them referred to as "crash" bolts. Just what kind of Toyota guys were you hanging around with Arvid? Rotfl

I'm glad they came out with them though, because is sure beat the old method of having to bend components to make changes.
They do work a treat because you can pretty well dial in your angles perfectly with the right combination of bolts. Toyota even had a chart that gave how much change you could get depending on which bolt(s) you used and in which location (upper or lower holes). IIRC the bolt heads were marked with dots indicating the amount of (maximum) additional angle change they would allow. 1 dot = 15 minutes of angle, 2 dots = 30 minutes of angle, 3 dots = 45 minutes of angle....

I think I still have an assortment of those sitting around here somewhere. Chin

Unfortunately John didn't have that option but it looks like he did a proper job of it, and I'm sure it's spot on as usual.
