Hi there,
Outstanding resto on the l5.
I too am in the middle of an l5 rebuild, not quite to your standard but still doing my bit to keep and old 'quality ' machine in service for years to come.
I have a question about the burrs you too had on yours.
I want to strip out the headstock and file off the mushroomed teeth on the gears where they have clashed in not so delicate use (ex college lathe I guess).
Did you encountere any noise issues after this, and did It make a marked improvement in engagement.
