I would like to build a civil war replica cannon. Can anyone recommend a set of plans? I don't know if it is leagal here in Georgia to build one that will actually fire.

I have an artical by William F Green that describes the building of a Napoleon Field gun 12 pounder (M-1857) , with drawings . and I do believe it fires ,always a plus

So I take it from your silence and lack of response your not actually interested in building a cannon and dont really need plans .

Not that I am aware of Rob, unless you want to count anvil shooting.
Plenty of civil war reenactments and rendezvous, but nothing like field gun comps. Although Tom does have it out with an old computer hard drive on occasion utilizing his cannon.
Those lads in the Royal Navy certainly earn their pay with the display they put on. They are some tough cookies.
