Remington model 6

Still working on this, but I started another rifle build.

This one is nearly finished anyway.
I got the firing pin installed, and it dents empty cartridges, so should work.

It is now rusting up, in preperation for blueing.

Got this one finished up and started on a new build of an original design.

I shot a few dozen rounds through it, and it works pretty well.
It will be awhile before my son is big enough to shoot it, but it can ride in the gun safe until then.

I was purposely trying to make it not look like new, so the bluing color is actually the way I wanted it, and not a flaw.

Nice. Is that walnut for the stock?

Yeah. I got the walnut for free, and it was worth about that much.

That was the best piece I could get out of a six foot board that was 1 1/2 inches thick.
I usually use black walnut or maple out of my own woods.
