Looking at the extension cord on the ground makes me wonder if it's an ELECTRIC anvil. 17428

That's to power the heating element inside the anvil.

welcome on the link... Your anvil looks like very nice one f350, the corners look square and the top doesn't looked wallowed out from always working in one spot, it looks to be in very good shape, you did good.

Right now I use this round for center punching and straightening parts out. The small plate was handy so it got permanent/temporary tacked on. Rotfl
