it depends on how thick the material is that your bending as to how narrow the die can be. the thicker the plate the wider the die needs to be to lower the force that is needed to allow the plate to bend.

Thanks DA,
Most will be 2- 3mm thick but there may be the occasion when I want to bend some 5mm thick say by 30mm wide - small brackets.
