Except, I likely am buying a new mill. Just like the one Arvid ordered. But, I couldn't sell my current mill with a leaky head with a clear conscience so I have to get this mill all spruced up and functioning to a level that I would find acceptable if I were going to keep it.

That's cool. Getting a new machine or tool is always a sure way to brighten your day. Of course there is nothing wrong with having an extra one on hand for second operations. Just saying.....

OK, it's time to get back to this project. I have most of the weekend allocated for working on the mill head rebuild. I have all of the parts and I finished my diversion project which was to drill and tap two holes in the mill head carrier so I can mount a bracket that will hold the gas springs on when I get around to that project.

I'm on vacation this week so I'll be starting the work on my leaky mill. I'm looking forward to your posts showing how you finished the work.

How does one properly install seals? See picture below. I have to install the one I got started, and can't get to go any further with hand pressure, and then the second one installs on top of the first.
