I have a Grizzly G4003 12x36 lathe. It came with a piston type BXA [200] tool post. I purchased a Phase II wedge type BXA [200] tool post and additional BXA [200] tipple holders for it.
As part of a super Craig's List deal I got some additional BXA [200] tool holders plus a Phase II wedge type CXA [300] tool post and several CXA [300] tool holders. They were mixed in the box so the seller said 'take them, I don't need them'.
I looked up the recommended lathe size for the larger tool post and it was 13" to 18" lathe.
The obvious solution is to sell the 12x36 and buy a 14x40 but the basement and the wife will not go for that idea.
The alternative is to keep the CXA [300] holder, mount it on the 12x36 and carry on.
Or keep it and use it when the need requires it though I have no idea what that need might be.
Or determine that I will never have a use for them, sell them and buy some NTMB 30 tooling that I actually can use on the mill.
Suggestions?
