I don't understand why that tool is listed with 5/8" anywhere in the description! It's a 1/2" shank, and the diameter hole it would make in plunging is .480" if spinning on center.

That's the smallest they make, though a shorter one is available. I have one of the shorter ones. In owning it for a few years, I've still not gotten around to buying the hard-to-find SECW21.21 size insert or it.

OTOH, I have a 1" cut 2-insert version that gets a fair amount of use and takes easier to find SD322P (SPEB/SPGH 090308) inserts. Tools is S-VMSP 100R 90CCC.
