Craiglist find

I use plain steel wire for measuring threads, I find it much easier to do the Maths (math for the US folks) rather than buying, storing, losing, finding and trying to hold the real things. keeping in mind that the change in diameter of a short length of wire is almost zero, very easily measured and as a single use tool well hard enough.

I fold the wire into a paper clippy looking s shape which holds itself on the thread while I measure and then I throw it away, when copying a piece it is incredibly easy, to clip the wire onto the original, measure and record then compare to the new parts.

I will of course mock up a picture when I get around to it.

Regards
Rick
Whatever it is, do it today, Tomorrow may not be an option and regret outlasts fatigue.
