Bill, i did not find many large dings anywhere on the machine.
The main pillar was a bit of a rough casting but the paint smoothed it out quite nicely.
Everything was painted by hand with various sized brushes.
Took a long time but the results are pretty good!
In other things that i have repaired with dings i used Bondo and it worked really well. Just a lot of sanding...
