Not sure this really counts as metalworking, but it is metal, and in spite of the frustration, it was kind of fun.
This is a Metal Earth kit, of which I have made half a dozen or so. I have another 6 or 7 to be built. This particular one was a bit difficult, because a lot of the parts were so small. My son also has a few but has only built two that I know of. At $10-12 each, they aren't too expensive, but you'll almost certainly need some sort of magnification to work on them.
