Even my bench vice has failed me a couple of times because it is bolted to a wooden bench. Using steel supports on my basement concrete floor goes a lot easier, but we have to work with what we have on hand I know. What type of bearing puller did you order?

I went back and worked at it some more last night. I was determined to get that sucker off. Success!  

I tried to cancel the Amazon order for the bearing puller but was too late so it arrived this morning. I'll be sending it back.
