Yeah but lots of companies used to give out plastic ones for free (including Starrett) or with a minimum purchase. Of course with profit margins now those days are long gone.
My favorite chart today however is the one Stan Zinkowski designed. His layout makes it much easier for me to find a specific fraction quickly. I printed out several letter size charts and laminated them. I put one at each machine, the work bench, inside the tool boxes, my computer desk...
Of course it helps to have a color laser printer and a laminating machine in the house.
