Yes Dave. Hours... I slept at about 2am this morning. Got up at 6am and couldn't go back to sleep....
My shop is still in a mess but I managed to clear out a space for the mill. The rest of the reorg will be done bit by bit so that more of my machines can be used at one time. I've to officially declare that I'm out of space... But the Jet Metal Bandsaw looks attractive and the distributor here is willing to give me a big discount... sigh...
As you guys know, I was looking online and a little offline for tooling to create a list of what I need. With the current weak Euro against the Sing dollar, Wabeco's tools and accessories looks so much more attractive than UK or US. Shipping and mode of payment are the 2 big hurdles from buying direct. Stuff from SG are really expensive. Take for instance the clamping set I just bought. Wabeco is selling their 58-piece set at EUR37.82 as listed on their site. I bought the Taiwanese Matchling 52-piece set at EUR102.72 with tax included. I don't know if shipping and the charges on telegraphic transfer will add up to the difference of EUR64.90.
After tooling up the mill, I'm looking at glass scale with DRO. There is an eBay seller whose price seems attractive. But I'll still have to pay the same hefty shipping cost though the seller is located in SG. They replied to my email saying that the goods are stored in China and therefore the shipping.

Wong
