No V blocks, but they included a hardened & ground squaring vise, tap wrench, hardened & ground parallels, c clamps, file handle, fly cutter, and some others I think. I drew them up using technical pens long before I started using a computer so they were hand drawn and I used an IBM Selectric typewriter with a long carriage for the numerals.
I made them so the students would also learn multiple methods such as single point V form and ACME threading, head tramming, indicating in a 4 jaw chuck, heat treating, surface grinding, leaving grinding material on the appropriate surfaces, indexing with a direct indexer, using a horizontal milling head attachment, etc. They also had to hand grind all their turning and threading tools. I designed and sequenced their projects around the methods I wanted them to learn.
