No, that means you will need to use the insert the same as you would any other thread cutting tool, other than the full profile insert. So you need to keep track of your depth of cut for the thread you're cutting. The partial profile inserts cover a range of threads so make sure you get the ones that will cover the range you need. Full profile threads are for one specific thread so you need a new insert for each thread type you need to cut.
