Hmm, I just found a video that Steve has posted in the last few days that addresses this subject specifically, several things I did not do when dressing this chuck! Didn't have the magnet on, for one thing, and my method of checking the result with the DTI has been totally undermined. 
Oh well, at least I used the correct grade of wheel.
