I've had one for several years not and I wouldn't be without it.  The nut for the screw is in the main casting and the two guide rods provide great stability.  Check that the remaining gears are included, as these are required if you want to vary the speed of the grinding wheel.  As these are mounted between the vise jaws, you can employ a variety of wheel thicknesses.  It is a very useful and versatile tool.  You will need to pay attention to how you mount it, as they layout is obviously unconventional.
