This micrometer stand/holder I made around 1986 .............. 30 years ago one of the first things I made on my milling machine and I have to say it looks good for 30 years of age.
The reason it looks still new is because I have never used it............. I made it, put it in a cupboard and that was that.
No idea why I made it in the first place but I have never used it
