That comment was made about the piston rings on the 32x40 horizontal engine , I am flattered that you even remember it . When I bought the rings for the 32x40 I found a supplier that seems to have rings of almost every size imaginable.
When starting the design of the radial I just thought 1" would be about right and 25 mm is very close as I want to work in metric. throughout the design I try to make .5mm as my finest measurement so you could almost build it using a good engineers scale or at best a cheep digital calliper.
This is what i like about doing my own design I am in the driving seat right or wrong.
