This is the right gas spring installed
   
This is the left gas spring installed
   
I used two XL Timing pulleys and a timing belt to drive the input shaft of the Z axis lift. These parts are also available from Mc Master-Carr. You can select the size of the pulleys depending on the speed of your gearmotor. Mine are in a ratio of one to one.
   
The motor is mounted on a custom bracket which I TIG welded from 3/16" mild steel plate. You can see the bracket here and in upcomming pictures.
