Cuts 3/8in. mild steel, 1/4in. aluminum, 1/4in. stainless steel, 1/4in. galvanized metal, 1/8in. copper and 1/8in. brass
40 amp so it should cut 1/2" (12.5 or 13 mm) steel with the right technique.

Gotta love inverter technology as the last 50 amp machine I used was about 1/2 the size of an office desk.
