Actually "I" wished it were that easy Dave. The problem is the bearing is located in the center of the shaft. Turning the shaft down to 12mm would allow me to fit a standard bearing, but then the #1 cylinder position sensor rotor as well as the ignition rotor on the end would no longer fit on the shaft. The bearing and all of the pickup sensor rotors are a press fit on the shaft.
