Dressing a wheel

Here is a visual for you. Put your finger on the wheel (stopped of course!) and rotate it in the direction of rotation. When your finger passes the center spindle, that's where you put the dresser. The idea is if the dresser moves, you don't want it to get pinched between the wheel and chuck and dig into the wheel.
