Change of plans, literally. I rearranged the floor plan, again. This will allow access to the back of the lathe since the electrical box and motor are back there. After I install the VFD and 3-phase motor on the lathe, the electrical box will get relocated to the wall to the right of the lathe.
This rearrangement also gets the shelves inside the shop space and moves the desk out where it's less likely to be bombarded with swarf. Of course this means the duplex outlet I installed now has to come out and relocated. I'm sure glad I didn't drive home the nails on the piece of luan plywood I installed on the wall. I left the heads proud of the surface just in case this would change.
So back to square one, I guess.
I like this layout better so it's worth the work to change it.
