I have turned queit a few parts with that slightly worn bearing and got good accurate results.
I had a feeling the bearing may have been a none starter being that the lathe is nearly 70 years old , So,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I picked up a couple of TR bearings today
that will go back to back something like this they actually have a better load and speed rating .
so getting closer , I will need to make a cartridge to hold the bearings and bore the head stock
