I know it says they're for cast iron, nickel- based alloys, titanium alloys, wrought & cast aluminums but hopefully they'll work on other metals also.

Ed, I stumbled upon a pack of inserts in the VP5142 grade on ebay (last one they had) and Ken gave them a thumbs up so I jumped on them. I don't usually have that kind of luck. But I paid TWICE what you did so.....

By the way. Ken, probably a dumb question, but what is the purpose/significance of the little round dimple near the upper right corner of the insert? I've seen them on other brands as well and I'm just curious.   17428
