What should be the allowance for press fitting?

Oh, now I think I understand. I've found that a digital caliper, even a Mitutoyo, can't give me the accuracy that a micrometer can.
I don't think it's only my inability to use the caliper, others (on other forums) agree.
Good job, glad you were able to reach your goal regardless of my skepticism.
