Afternoon Lads
Dug out an old electric motor to use for the forge blower .
An 8" machinist rule in the foreground just so you can get an idea of the size , its not a large motor , and all I could make out from the label was 240v and fractional .
So out came the test gear just to make sure the motor was safe and to fined out what the RPMs where , turned out to be 1450 rpm .
Wire nuts ,love em,,,,,,,,,, probably the best thing to come out of the USA since Burger King
There great for quick hook ups . , turned out the insulation was sound on the motor , running no load at about 2 amps , start was 9.5 amps .
Suppose I better get the old Etch A Sketch out and draw up a blower
Cheeeeers Rob
