Last thread I cut on the Hardinge was a 20 tip, that was the second number over on the chart so I brought the tumbler up into the second slot. Made a couple of light passes and things didn't look right. Check it with the gauge and its not 20, HUH. Next one over on the chart is 27 and thats what I got. HUH. They have an empty space to hold the tumbler up in that doesn't engage anything so I needed the third slot. DUH.

Free advice is worth exactly what you payed for it.
