Just data points I guess, given that I have an assortment of colors.
On the ESAB 875 plama cutter the clamp appears to be a robust jumper cable clamp*, possibly steel plated copper clamp but the plasma cutter doesn't require a lot of current compared to the welders ...
On the Miller Dynasty 350 tig has a significant steel clamp with robust copper pads ...
On the Lincoln Power Mig 300, again a significant steel clamp with large copper pads ...
