I just don't like these quick rush jobs. The original knob was a chrome plated plastic one, it had cracked and was loose.
I was a bit concerned when they requested a 'shiny' metal knob - thinking electrocution . All's fine the knob just pushes on a split plastic (nylon I think) spindle, and shiny because it looks good on stage
They were rehearsing on stage this afternoon when it came loose.
(He was lucky his Dad knew me)
I think he was more embarrassed about dropping it than I was
