Now for the second question, why not use "stick' for all the welds?

I just fancied doing some welding
The first weld is with TIG
Then a run of MIG
I could have just stick welded the hole job
But with a TIG root weld you know the job will be good
My mig welder is a bit underpowerd for steel that thick
Basically i was just playing with my welders
