We primarily use the Unified Thread Standard over here. Each size has a coarse and a fine pitch associated with it as you can see in the chart. The fine pitches are generally closer to the the mm pitches you guys use over there. Common diameters range from #0 (1.524mm) to #10 (4.826mm). Common pitches are 80 for the #1 (.3175mm), 56 for the #2 (.4536mm), 40 for the #4 (.635mm) ad 32 for the #6, #8 and #10 (.7938mm). I don't have a clue how these compare to the BA thread system.
