I own a Mitec Super 160P. It does TIG, plasma cutting, and stick welding. I've used all three features and have owned it for 6 years. I started a Yahoo Group which you are welcome to join:

There's plenty of information including stories from those not as fortunate as I have been with my welder. There's also manuals, photos of internals, and even a few schematics.
