The pics are all done and the mill back together again!
Just need to find some time to sort through all the pictures and do the write up...
Some things i did not take pictures of though...
The x axis leadscrew nut had some serious amounts of backlash.
What i decided to do was line the inside of the nut with JB Weld and lube up the lead screw. Screw it all together and let it set.
Worked like a charm!!!
Backlash is down from around 15 thou to about 1/2 a thou!!
Will have to see how long it lasts and may end up making a new one at some point.
My VFD has arrived so i need to get that all hooked up and mounted!!
The the acid test of how it runs!
Hopefully get the write up done soon!
