Carbide ONLY on the diamond wheel. If you want to grind HSS as well, get a white wheel for the other side.

Thanks for the excellent advice.

I will plead ignorance ... in this case a very legitimate plea ... but what is a "white wheel"? I assume it is a composite wheel that is white, but a composition of what?
